The Coachman's Cottage
The Coachman's Cottage is situated in the grounds of Ladyhole House which is an Edwardian country house, located in Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District. Set at the top of a sweeping drive, lined with mature chestnut trees and covered in a carpet of daffodils in the Spring, both the house and cottage are complemented by mature gardens and grounds with beautiful trees and a walled garden.
The name Ladyhole dates back to medieval times, when a nunnery existed at the site, and was referred to as the 'ladies of the hollow'.
The Coachman's Cottage is a delightful Derbyshire cottage and is situated to the rear of the main house and has its own attractive cottage gardens. Converted from a bothy in 1995, it offers luxury accommodation. Guests are welcome to enjoy all that the gardens offer, outdoor barbecues in the summer, an 'en tout cas' tennis court and croquet. For horse owners there are stables and grazing near to the house.
Quiet countryside surrounds the house where it is possible to walk and cycle, and yet Ashbourne, the local market town, is only two miles away.
There are limited facilities for those with impaired mobility including ramps and a Stannah stairlift.
